At the time the Flower Mound salon operated from its studio on Cross Timbers Road, where the team had already built a reputation for its color work.

2016: Best Color Salon in Denton County

In 2016 the salon was voted Best Color Salon in Denton County, adding a third consecutive award to its record. David Ryan Salon received Best Color Salon in Denton County for 2024, and the row of badges printed with the article confirmed an unbroken record reaching back to 2014. Owner Ryan Smith reflected on the honor, saying, “This award reflects our team’s dedication and our clients’ trust.” The same feature described the salon’s work with brands such as Redken and Wella, its color glosses and Kerastase treatments, and specialty services that include hair extensions, Brazilian Blowouts, and keratin smoothing.
